Sana Safinaz revealed their new line to the public in January for their Spring Collection. The collection had a particular look. Silk Metallic clothing with Crystals used as straps going around one side or around the neck. The designs were absolutely stunning. Sana and Safina had given a glimpse of their line before hand at other Fashion shows as well for the upcoming year. Indian Designers have found inspiration in Pakistani work many times before as well and here we see almost a replica of Sana and Safinaz' work worn by Indian actress Priyanka Chopra. Look at the designs by Sana and Safina worn by Super Model Vaneeza Ahmed and Top Model Nadia Hussain.
Sadly Credit is never given to any Pakistani-Painters-Fashion designers-Singers-Actors-Writers etc etc need I go on - We are a creative nation its a shame that the world does not see our talents!
i think pakis need not blame indians......Accept the fact that talent is more appriciated in india... all ur singers n designer's look fwd to go to india for a break....n its true...they even get famous.... I would say--rather than arguing, its better to co-exist.....n try to promote pakistani talent through a proper medium....love frm india.
Pakistan has to promote its ideas through its own chanels, India is way ahead cause the industry is very open to ideas and concepts. Not a few bad apples running the show.
hey, my dads pakistani. and he usually watches dramas and indian films and ecetra. but my mum is quater irish, dominican, japanese and american/british. i came across this site like a month ago. and its really cool, because my dads always lecturing me about how im not pakistani enough? so as soon as i came across this artical i was mega shocked, i cant believe pakistan has such talent and its not recognised :( i cant believe india stole there idea aswell i mean now its going to be indias idea. because no ones really aware of pakistans. anyhow, i like this site and please try to keep it updated requently it hasnt been upsated since 14th august when its 11th september now so yeah love zara :D x
Hi, I was googling about latest fashion trends in pakistan and I came across this website. I totally agree with the comments stated above. Living in america for the last 3 years made me realize that we pakistanis are more creative as compared to indians. Unforunately the political status of our country has taken us way behind in not one but many other fields and now our designs are also being stolen. I have many indian friends here and few of them have admitted that our stuff is of excellent quality but most of them (especially who are in the business of selling clothes) are just trying their best to take out flaws.
Ok so Priyanka was wearing a dress inspired or copied from a Pakistani designer, whatever term you want to use. But people, those designs were copied from Valentino. Last time I checked a long formal dress wasn't the native dress of India or Pakistan. There's nothing that hasn't already been done. I agree that some Indian designers do copy from their Pakistani counterparts, and most notably Manish Malhotra. He's just disgusting for not have a single creative and original bone in him.
Most Indian designers are not creating ethnic/desi outfits, but rather focusing on western outfits. Therefore, Indians like me have to look towards Pakistani designers for beautiful creations. I'm not complaining one bit, because the use of fabrics, colors, embroidery is just excellent.
Lets not fight about who copied who, because truth is all designers copy, doesn't matter if they are in India, Pakistan, France, Italy or USA.
