Reema says NO to BOLLYWOOD ONCE MORE

Reema has been pursued by Bollywood since the 90's. Though many of us might find that hard to believe since Reema wasnt as refined as she is now and we all suffer from the "Ghar ki Murghi Daal Barabar" Syndrome, it actually is true. Reema has visited India on several occasions and has taken part in many elite social functions. She has also recieved many awards in India as well. After peace processes began to take place between India and Pakistan, Bollywood Producers began to persue the gorgeous Pakistani Actress even more. Many actors who have been to India before did not recieve roles worthy enough of their status in Pakistan. Taking caution, Reema refused to do any roles in India by simply explaing that she just wasnt interested. After relations began to deteriorate, Reema began to refuse Bollywood more openly, saying that she does not see it fit to work in Bollywood when the two nations have such tension between them. Now recently Reema was offered another movie that was supposedly a very big cast movie, however, Reema refused to work once more.

NDTV, one of India's most biased news channels reported the news portraying Reema as a arrogant actress who believes herself to be to good for Bollywood. NDTV also compared Reema to Ashwaria Rai refering to her as the Pakistani Rai as a angle to further spice up the story of the actress from Pakistan who thinks too much of herself. The NDTV Website was flooded by angry Indians who expressed extreme anger against Reema and simply attacked the actress.

Reema, who started out as a young actress with no sense of style, transformed into a icon. She now co owns a Hotel in London, is the face of LUX, has produced and directed two films, has received the National Award in Pakistan, has recieved the performing arts award in France, had won the supporter of arts award in Norway, and recieved serveral other recognitions, has once again showed real signs of sensibility by saying NO to Bollywood once again. To Reema, fame in the neighboring nation means nothing, as she once revealed in a interview. To Reema, the love of her own people is quite enough. Well you have it Reema, we do love you and wish you every bit of luck in all your future plans.

  1. Good job Reema. Also Reema is much better than Ashwariya. Ashwariya is fake and Reema is natural beauty

  2. i must say reema is strong to say no to such a strong industry..im proud that she represented pakistan as a success in the fashion industry..If reema had said yes it would symbolise the faliure pakistan has had in media but rather reema has commited a love for her country

  4. Even though we may think so, Bollywood is not a strong industry. Bollywood steals stories, songs, and themes from all over the world. Having a good print of your movies is not a big deal but when it comes to substance, bollywood lacks it. The only reason Bollywood is getting any attention is because China is becoming the next Hollywood and so America wants to create some competition for China.

  5. just because it isnt orginal doesnt make bollywood any less powerful...i think they meant strong as in powerful not as in "good". I agree, bollywood lacks efforts in orginality but its still a largely consumed industry thus making it strong. if seen in a larger view its strong but when a closer image is given of bollywood they are horrible

  6. ^ How are they strong? Just because they make money what influence do they have? More than half the world is unaware of Bollywood. How is that strength? People all over the world know Hollywood. People know Tom Cruise, people know Brad Pitt... these are global icons. Who is a global icon from Bollywood? Bollywood has no strength and therefore no quality at all. If Bollywood was so powerful, they would have been able to drag in Hollywood actors into their industry like China's film Industry. Sorry but Bollywood has nothing.

  10. Hi,

I am an Indian and a Bollywood fan but I agree Reema has done the right thing. She is an icon in Pakistan - why should she agree to any two-bit Bollywood role ?

Many people in the commercial Hindi film industry are too arrogant...think too much of themselves though they are all the time ripping off Hollywood movies, having no original ideas thmeselves.

  11. the thing is,india do has an industry, dont forget that all those who made marks globally from pakistan majority were famous becaz they were liked in india, they know how to make mone yand admire whats original talent not like us that who has money is the investor and the kerta dhartaa...as gujaars are investing and the movies are for their praize and likehood, inidans know the quality, its standards and they praize their actors so much,in pakistan acotrs are not icon they are taboo...no one would consider marrying even a singers daughter as its out of our society and culture, its very difficult to get recognization in pakistan as there are lot of hardships in the practical field, only extremely talented person(producer, director, writter of huda ke liyee)can servive here becaz one man has to work of 3!indians have specialists in all fields......its god gift that people like reema survive and earn too....thats why artists of pakistan are exceptional!GOD bless them

  12. Though I admit there is a great of imitation and excess showmanship in the Indian film industry, there is also a lot of commitment to making good cinema.

Newer directors are trying to make more original storylines now. Please do not dismiss all Bollywood film-making as shoddy showmanship.

  16. i find it really sad that you guys always have that hatred against indians. your ancestors used to be friends with many of them. wake up. you've been brainwashed by the media, politics and maybe even your parents. why can't you accept it that india is a country of their own just like yours.

btw..there are enough biased tv news channels in pakistan as well. are you some sort of a spy who knows everything about those channels?!!

  19. oh pls ppl...get a life....dnt compare her with aishwarya....aish has a far higher standard....remember....aish is nt just an indian actress she also was miss world and has even 3-4 hollywood films to her credit....as far as the comparisons b/w indian n pakistani film industry r concerned....well actions speak louder thn words.....n the kind of fame n popularity indian film industry has is on a much larger scale thn the pakistani film industry.....n this statement is supported by the fact tht pakistan is a very large market of pirated cds of indian movies..... as far as actors of both the countries r concerned.....each of the countries hv a set of very talented actors which hv established their mark all over the world.

  21. Now for Bollywood, it might be hard to admit this because ofcourse all bitter pills are hard to swallow but Bollywood is nothing but a two bit commercial cinema that has no actual basis in the world as far as serious cinema is concerned. People know Bollywood as that film industry from India where people are always dancing and are too white to be Indians. So if you want a joke to laugh about then laugh at the pitiful condition of your wannabe industry.

  22. On 1 hand all d Paki artists r becoming wat dey r ONLY coz of their recognition & luv in India(Nusrat & Rahat Fateh Ali Khan,Adnan Sami,Atif Aslam,Ali Zafar & d list goes oooon),&on d other THIS is the kinda gratitude Paki-s have 4 the Indian film industry, despite owning the Paki artists(who have no scope in their country otherwise& hence has fled 2 ours!)..der r constantly reality shows of music, dance&comedy welcoming participants 4m Pak wid a sense of belongingness 2 provide similar, undiscriminated platform 2dem & all dis goes unnoticed by u all?!realy.. Pakistanis r sad, ungrateful, cold blooded stabbers..THIS,itself speaks volumes & xplains WHY u,Paki-s r soooo miserable & that too deservingly! u hav so much inner conflicts, ur stil fight 4 ur own identity crisis. dude, wats d problem in bein open minded & appreciate & embrace d modern, changing times? dat doesnt imply losing heritage either.u can retain traditionalism & b modern simultaneously.dats called balance wat d Indian industry promotes. stop bein hypocrits & pullin down ur own jewels by denouncing dem & lookin down upon dem. dat way u wud not lose ur own talents who do well by tryin their fortune in oder places. & den u say oder places hav snatched ur gems. do u realise how BACKDATED u all r?y dont u 4 once give a thot 2 WHY d resta d world is ahead of YOU,instead of blaming others, look within urselves. d majority cant b wrong ALWAYS.
P.S.:- Paki is used JUST as a shortcut, NO RACISM AT ALL.& I sincerely respect& salute EVRY ARTIST OF PAK, dey r all REALY talented.
    ~PEACE~
